Tooth #2: bottom lower right 8/1/13

Allison is crazy. She crawls like a manic, bounces all over the place, pulls up on everything, and cruises on the furniture. Her record of standing alone is 7 seconds, and she is getting better every day. Because this is my third child I obviously think it is awful. :) She also spends a lot of time on her knees bouncing. Especially to make her siblings laugh.

Allison is soooooooooo ridiculously happy. She is smiley, laughs easily, and loves to make eye contact and smile at anyone she can. Harmon and Sammy adore her, and treat her a little too rough with love. Now that she is into everything they also find her a little bit annoying at times (like when she destroys their legos, etc.)

Her favorite toy is her tiny baby doll she got for Easter. She will grab it, shake it/slam it on her lap, attack/eat it's head, chew on it's feet. When you ask her to show you her baby she will gladly shake it for you while saying "dadadadada!" She also loves picking up tiny things off the floor and trying to eat them.

She eats pretty much everything. Her favorites are watermelon, bread, and anything on your plate or the floor. Ok, and ice cream.

She squeals a lot, and babbles dada and mama, but doesn't call us that. Most things are usually dadadada.

She is a terrible sleeper but getting better. She thinks the 5 o clock hour is a great hour to be awake. I disagree.

We adore our baby girl!kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-29382122659424913302013-05-02T16:13:00.001-07:002013-05-02T16:13:48.591-07:00Allison on the move...Yesterday Allison decided she was tired of holding still. She began rolling from back to front. And then continued front to back. And so on. I guess it's time to pick up all the legos from the floor. If that wasn't enough she also scoots forward by grabbing/pulling the carpet and kicking her legs. Not very far, but enough to get to a close toy. She also will lift up one arm and then kind of lurch toward that side to get some distance. Trouble! :)kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-53872749849094505282013-03-16T12:57:00.000-07:002013-03-16T12:57:36.018-07:00Rolly PollyLittle baby Allison who is just over 3.5 months rolled over today from belly to back. First while no one was watching (I noticed I had left her on her stomach one minute prior) then while Aaron watched, and finally a third time for the video camera. Nice work little lady. And by little I mean chunky and cute. She is for sure my chunkiest baby (which I love). I assume the next milestone will be teeth within a week or three, but maybe back to front rolling. We will see.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-2156843141829764182013-01-08T09:20:00.001-08:002013-01-08T09:20:49.580-08:00Allison SmilesI should be fired from blogging.

Friday December 28th Allison started smiling on purpose. A week later she was doing it more often. Now she does it all the time and coos back at you. It's delightful.

The day before 6 weeks she weighed 10lbs 11.6oz.

She is great and we adore her.
Her back mullet fuzz had been growing over the past month or so, but it seems that she grew some on top overnight as well. Maybe she won't be bald forever afterall.

Also March 3rd she got teeth #11 & #12, top cainines. Kind of awesome with 8 teeth on top and 4 on bottom.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-42551529709116310852010-12-31T09:18:00.001-08:002010-12-31T09:22:02.905-08:00Tooth 9 & 10After months of not producing any teeth, Sammy woke up this morning with two more, the upper right and left first year molars. (Thanks garage sales!)

Aaron wanted me to write that Harmon says: "That's funny Dad!" or "That's funny Mom!" He also is still waking up at least three times a night needing put back into his bed. Or the floor where he sleeps most of the time because that's where Dad snuggles him. (Toddler bed too small for Dad.)kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-3573888971658147972010-10-26T21:01:00.001-07:002010-10-26T21:02:15.095-07:00the stepsso, Aaron posted on the real blog, but just for the ease of my record keeping (hah) Sammy took a good 4-5 steps today between the two of us. I am quite proud, but sad at how much more babyproofing it will entail. Does that make me a rude mother? Probably.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-33260443414473551732010-10-08T16:04:00.000-07:002010-10-08T16:05:41.726-07:00Mama!Today during snack time Sammy (finally) quietly said "mamamama"! All of Harmon's baby teeth have now been introduced to his mouth and I hope to write nothing more on the subject until they start to fall out at the appropriate time. Hallelujah.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-57850583810372547902010-09-26T14:07:00.000-07:002010-09-26T14:07:39.808-07:00TalksHarmon says a lot of things funny. Aaron of course rejoiced while I cried. Can we just skip the part where she learns to walk to the part were she is coordinated and doesn't break her face open?kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-66225128858542113882010-09-07T15:29:00.000-07:002010-09-07T15:30:38.445-07:00For the RecordHarmon head-butted his lovely sister in the mouth, making her top gums above her teeth. Bad times had by all. Feel free to use this against him in the future, Sammy.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-36025542343884476982010-08-31T15:37:00.000-07:002010-08-31T15:43:28.201-07:00UpdatesTooth #8 for Sammy: bottom right of center finally came in on Sunday. Maybe now we can have a break?

Harmon's top 2-year-old molars were found to be mostly in. Maybe someday he will stop drooling. He went to the dentist yesterday who assured me that his teeth are ok despite the few serious mouth bashings. I hope he is right.

Harmon continues to fight going to sleep on his own in his bed. It takes a ridiculous 45min to put him to bed. Sammy goes to sleep pretty well but is still waking up every 2-3 hours. Except when cutting teeth. Then it's every 45min.

Sammy is frustrated because she can't walk. Instead of practicing her crawling, she gets up on hands and feet and lifts a hand trying to stand up. This often ends up in a face plant and tears. Other times she will just squawk because she can't quite pull up on the furniture yet. Favorite activity? (Barely) holding your fingers and walking around.

Both kids love outside to the infinite power. And daddy.

Sammy is eating lots and lots of foods and Harmon is obsessed with pretzels and milk.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-2479257557575795852010-08-09T13:52:00.001-07:002010-08-09T14:01:25.402-07:00Seriously TeethingAll my posts seem to be about teeth. But that's partially because I thought it was cool in my baby book how my mom had kept track of when all mine came in. So you know, if I ever get to those baby books...

Teeth #6 & #7 appeared today (or late last night? early this morning?) on top left and right of the center teeth. This means that although the bottom was off to an early lead (3-0!) top has taken the lead by one. It also means that only 13 more teeth until we can finally sleep. Oh the humanity.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-25344610826213145672010-08-06T17:42:00.000-07:002010-08-06T17:44:51.749-07:00I hate teeth part 17, highly advanced childrenEsther says I have to write that Sammy waves and therefore she is highly advanced. Now I wrote it, and if Esther says she is highly advanced I know it must be true, because she is an excellent judge of character!

Tooth #5 came in today, top center left. A close race though, as teeth #6-8 are close behind.kelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09560251216600014049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5234876885734460069.post-70702850022359011722010-08-02T09:22:00.000-07:002010-08-02T09:35:38.505-07:00teeth, beds, potty, etc.Sammy tooth #4 yesterday, top center right. That makes three for the bottom and one for the top. Real funny. Today she is crawling like a champ, which is bad because I am far too tired to chase her/keep her safe. She still loves to kick her feet and be held facing forward and charm everyone with giant smiles.

Harmon has been using the potty since we went to Montana last week. Awesome. Bribery of popsicles and marshmallows is working pretty good. He is also sleeping in a toddler bed, which works pretty well, except at 6am when he comes running out shouting "play cars!!!" That makes three teeth on bottom, and 5 more about to break through any day.

Harmon woke up the other night at 2am and wouldn't go back to sleep. Instead he spent time in our bed talking incessantly and about an hour in climbed on Aaron and said "ride Daddy!" and proceeded to attempt to take a horsey ride.
